I'm planning a vacation for about 4 nights for my friend and I in the summer. I was wondering what are some destinations we can consider? We plan on going between June and late July. Any destination ideas would be greatly appreciated, especially international destinations!
If you provide an answer, please suggest some things to do during the day & night!
Thanks!
I live in MI. I'm open to any kind of vacation, beaches, cities, basically anything that has something to offer during the day & night time.
The two destinations I had in mind are Cancun & Punta Cana. Anyone ever been there that has any input?
Thanks!
Camping, the beach, Disneyland, Disneyworld, The Florida Keys, The Caribbean, a cruise - take your pick

Well with only 4 days to work with International may be a little dificult because of the travel time involved. Also, it depends where you are from. East coast? West coast? and also what you want to do…beaches? hiking? clubs? That info would be helpful in suggesting a place. I love the Dominican Republic for beaches. there are some great resorts there. But then again, I'm partial because I lived there. Also, I'm a beach and island girl. I love the sun. So, what are the specifics? What are you looking for?

If you really like to take hiking trips & such up in the mountains, go to Little Sheperds Trail in Harlan, KY. It takes you to many miles trails & it takes you to a realy high outlooks of the mountains & such. its very fun.

Take a short trip to Europe! I know it might seem like a bit of a leap, but it's definitely worth it. I'd recommend the South of France, especially Provence (Avignon, Arles, Marseille…)
In Avignon you can enjoy their annual festival during the summer. Lots of performers and street vendors come out and there's a lot of entertainment. It has a good nightlife too, and of course the famous Palais des Papes.
Arles is a small city, but it's really relaxing. It was originally a Roman city, and the ruins of its arena and amphitheater still remain. It was also the home of Vincent Van Gogh.
Marseille is a famous international destination and the second largest city in France - it's also the capital of Provence. It's got lots of famous sites and a really unique culture.

I'd suggest visiting southern Colorado. Great summer destination. We run overnight adventure trips on the Arkansas River. Allot of fun! Great snow in Colorado this winter means great water conditions for rafting this summer. Its looking to be one of the best years in a long time. Safe travels!
